Spinosaurus Vertebra - 2.88 inch

Description

A Spinosaurus dinosaur vertebra from the Kem Kem Beds of Morocco. Features a couple of repairs, no restoration.  An interesting an affordable theropod vertebra!

This dinosaur lived around 95 million years ago in what is modern day North Africa, which at the time was dominated by mangrove forests and vast river systems leading out to the Tethys Sea (an ancient sea which existed between 250 and 50 million years ago, before the evolution of the indian ocean). The region was home to a number of other large theropods, sauropods, pterosaurs, crocodilians and fish.
