livepages::jquery();?>Saurornitholestes is a genus of dromaeosaurid theropod dinosaur from the late Cretaceous, fossils being found in formations across north America. Saurornitholestes was longer legged and lighter built in stature compared to other Dromaeosaurids such as Velociraptor at around 1.8m long and weighing approximately 10kg. However, like the velociraptor Saurornitholestes had a long, curved claw which resembled a blade on the second toe, and large fang like teeth at the front of its jaws. There are two species of Saurornitholestes named to date: Saurornitholestes sullivani and the Saurornitholestes langstoni. The fossils we have listed are of the Saurornitholestes langstoni sourced from the Judith River Formation, Montana.
